Monterrey is ready for the Ironman 70.3

The Ironman 70.3 triathlon will be held on May 14th in the city of Monterrey. This is the fourth occasion to celebrate this important tourism and sports event in this city.

In this edition the athletes will have to travel 1.9 kilometers of swimming, 90 kilometers of cycling and a 21 kilometer run, a challenge for more than two thousand competitors expected from 23 countries.

The stage where this competition will take place will be in the avant-garde city of Monterrey; the Santa Lucia River will be the designated area for swimmers. With a depth of 1.2 meters the athletes must travel from Ojos de Agua (where the city of Monterrey was founded) to the Fundidora Park; The Macroplaza will be the starting point for the cycling race. Competitors must go around Constitution Avenue twice; finally the race course will be around Paseo Santa Lucia, inside Fundidora Park. The start and goal will be both in the Macroplaza.

This year, 9 thousand visitors are expected from Mexico and all over the world, so if you want to see a real sporting event, we invite you to be a part of this one.
