The House of Sultans changes its name
The famous Baseball Stadium in Monterrey, also known as the House of Sultans, changes its name to Mobil Super. This thanks to an alliance made with this oil brand used in the automotive industry.
This Baseball Stadium was built in 1978 and inaugurated in July 1990 by then-President Carlos Salinas. One of the first championships that took place here was the Youth World Championship where Mexico played against Korea, as well as the Tecolotes game against the Sultans, one of the most prestigious and traditional teams in the Mexican Baseball League, who was enjoyed having this wonderful stadium as their home.
This stadium has 27,000 seats and has hosted various games several times within the Major Baseball League season. It is also the stadium with the larges capacity in Mexico and the third largest in Latin America.
Although it has announced their name change because of an alliance with the brand Super Mobil, the stadium continues to welcome this sport’s fans, as well as Sultans followers who are always supporting their team. If you are a follower of this sport, you cannot miss visiting this spectacular stadium in the baseball capital of Mexico.
If you are visiting Monterrey, we highly recommend staying at Best Western Plus Royal Courts, only 8 minutes away from the Stadium and very close to all tourist attractions in the city. Ask about their rates calling (81) 8305-1900
